How much recovery time for hernia surgery?
I have 24 years and have been dealing with this pain for 9 years .. finally had an MRI and saw the results … EXTREMELY two herniated discs that stands out in my spinal fluid. (L4 and L5 area) The surgeon said For someone of my age he would never do a surgery, but my only option at this point … its 45 minutes, small incision, and I said I'm standing and Night. walking and house-is that rapid recovery of this reality? "I really do not feel pain afterwards? if it lasted so long? "catheder is needed for surgery? (I'm a chicken) Please only respond if you or someone you know has had this type of surgery
My husband had an accident last year resulted in a herniated disc between L4 and L5. He underwent surgery in April this year (which is 24 too.) Her protruding disc shaving, plus a small amount the surrounding bone (to give your nerve roots more space.) If all went well, the doctor would have to stay overnight after the procedure had and go home the next day. He had a small leak of spinal fluid that the doctor found though (most likely an epidural last year) that had to be repaired. Because of this, they ended up staying three nights in the hospital, and had a flat bed rest 48 hours after surgery. He had a catheter IV put into his hand before surgery. While under anesthesia, a catheter urine (I'm pretty sure this is standard procedure). After surgery, was on a morphine drip for a day and then returned to take the Percocet (which had been before the surgery), but within three weeks he was out of all analgesics. Her pain was significantly reduced immediately after surgery. By the time he left the hospital, he was walking normally (no more cane!) and was able to stand straight again.
