Many variables. How bad it is, the ability of the surgeon, recovery and how it goes, the therapy and how well your bones are. All surgeries are back unique. No one has the same results. Just make sure you have someone that is good, someone who does all day every day and even on the newest techniques. I would get a teaching hospital in the area to recommend one that is working with them. Ask people you know, they may know someone or may have had. Ask your doctor if you have X-rays and a doctor will do to rates of patients who returned to work or did not return. They can respond if given time. I underwent neck surgery and implanted discs. I'm in pain 24 / 7. It took forever for them to find my records were falling down …. It has helllo and I do not blame anyone … I blame them all for taking so long to find it and then I have to live with it. that's why I say … the best you can that make for the best result possible and do everything as I say and rehabilitation do not overdo it.
